Two months, two reference numbers – no response to water leak

Two months and two reference numbers later, and still no cooperation from the Ekurhuleni Metro regarding a water leak.

This is according to a Van Dyk Park resident, who logged a complaint regarding a water meter leakage outside her property on December 15.

On January 27, the resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, reported the problem again and received another reference number.

To date, the meter has not yet been repaired.

“This is ridiculous,” said the complainant.

“Where I normally pay around R2 500 for water usage I paid R5 000 in January because of the leakage.”

“I phone them (the call center) twice a week, but to no avail.”

The Advertiser has sent a query to the metro with regard to the leakage, but had received no response by the time of publication.
