DA welcomes back Boksburg learners to school

The DA in Boksburg welcomes back all learners who start the 2016 school year this Wednesday, January 13.

Janet Semple, MPL, Boksburg East Constituency head, said they also wish every learner all the best for their academic year ahead.

“The DA believes that education is a constitutional right, a basic human right, a strategic priority and the best possible vehicle to empower South Africans and to develop our country,” she added.

“Economic success depends on quality education and that those who receive a quality education can fulfil their potential.”

Semple said those without an education are destined to remain excluded from opportunities and dependent on the state to survive.

“Therefore, it is imperative that all learners have access to quality education, to be able to improve their quality of life,” she explained.

According to Semple, it empowers individuals to obtain a fulfilling job, contribute to the economy and utilise their talents to the full.

“In the current economic climate, it is our youth who are most affected by unemployment and a lack opportunities to find a job.

“We would, therefore, continue to fight for the right of every student to have access to quality education and, as such, have access to job opportunities,” she concluded.
