LALT holds thrilling play festival

The Live Arts Little Theatre (LALT) Play Festival, a brand new annual event, will be held from Friday, October 2 to Saturday, October 10.

The festival is a wonderful showcase of modern theatre where both young and experienced actors, comedians and abstract performers have the opportunity to showcase their work to a welcoming audience.

Ten shows have been selected for the first annual festival on the East Rand.

Each play will show two to four times and the wide variety of shows promises to keep audiences of all walks of life entertained.

On October 2, the first play, Pandora se boks, with seasoned theatre and TV actor, David Louw, will take the stage at 8pm and all members of the public are invited to this special performance.

The official opening play, Onthou by Duan Craffert, walked away with this year’s best production prize at the Woordfees.

On October 3 Onthou will be on the LALT stage at 7.30pm with Phillip Schnetler and Debré Rossouw as main characters, and will be followed by Dinner met my ex, at 8.30pm.

To make the show absolutely unforgettable, special lighting design has been brought in and a brand new dressing room has been built to accommodate more actors.

Snacks and drinks will be available at all the shows with entertainment for the whole family.
