CBCOB Boksburg Cricket Club beat Kwa-Thema by nine wickets with a bonus point in the Eastern T20 league at Prince Thethe Oval field on November 12.
Kwa Thema forfeited the toss as they didn’t have the required number of players when the match was supposed to commence.
CBCOB batted first, scoring 64/1 in four overs. Micheal Weldon and Mark Pears were instrumental in ensuring they batted well for the visiting side.
Weldon scored 40 not out and Pearse was on 23 not out.
The CBCOB bowlers didn’t disappoint. Best bowlers were WP Myburgh (2/10 in four overs) and Andrew Rasemene who also didn’t disappoint. When the opportunity came for him to bowl, he attained 2/12 in six overs.
Thulane Radebe rose to the occasion obtaining 2/12 in four overs.
Kwa-Thema was 62 all out in 21 overs.
