Actonville Spurs Cricket Club beat CBC Old Boys at home (Lords Cricket Ground) in a T20 round robin match on October 15.
Actonville scored 117/7 in 19.5 overs to win the match. CBC only managed 116/9 in 20 overs.
WP Myburg, a batsman for CBC, smashed 53 runs. Zander Lubbe bowled well for CBC, taking 2/18 in four overs.
Boksburg will finish second in the pool and will progress to the play-off stages, which will be played in the new year.
The 50-over league started on October 22. Boksburg played their first match away against Benoni Northerns.
Benoni Northerns were never under real pressure, winning comfortably.
Boksburg made 191 all out in 42.3 overs. Benoni won the match by six wickets.
Boksburg plays Geluksdal Cricket at CBC on October 29 in the next round.
