A new club introduced in Boksburg

The new club is introduced to nurture players.

The former coach of Boksburg FC U8, Ernest Seforo, has formed a new soccer club, Absalom Tete, which will be competing in the upcoming season of the Eastern Local Football Association league.

According to the founder, the new soccer club will have teams from the foundation phase and grassroots level, from U9 to U19.

“It has always been my dream to form a club and I’m happy that my dream is materialising. My new club will be training at Boksburg Stadium.

“My aim is to develop players that will be equipped to compete internationally. The club also has a girls’ team and young girls are welcome to come and join it,” said Seforo.

He said they also need players and coaches for the divisional teams, including the women’s team.

“The teams train at Boksburg Stadium from Monday to Thursday at 16:00. For the U9 team I need players from the age of four to nine. They are welcome to join the club.

“The boys’ teams are already playing friendlies to prepare for the league, but the girls’ team is already playing in the Eastern Women’s Football League and is doing well in it,” Seforo expressed.

He mentioned that Absalom Tete teams are going to bring stiff competition in the Eastern leagues.

“I will be using the long experience I gained as a coach to run the club. I’m aiming to bring something different to the Eastern League with the football club.

“I love football a lot as a sport, but I also enjoy watching other sports like rugby and cricket,” he said.

Seforo wishes the Springboks all the best for their final match.
