Boksburg thrash Springs 17-2

It was an exciting match to watch.

The Boksburg FC senior team humiliated visitors Springs Captain Uprise 17-2 in a friendly match at the Boksburg City Stadium on March 30.

The home side kicked off the match and immediately put pressure on the visitors when Mlando Shongwe, a Boksburg FC striker, broke the deadlock and grabbed one for his team.

Boksburg led the match 1-0, and Shongwe still had unfinished business. After a good interchange of play from Boksburg FC, he scored a brace to extend their lead.

The home side led 2-0. Both teams kept putting pressure on each other, leading to Boksburg’s free-kick, which they failed to convert.

Mlando Shongwe scored five goals in the match.

Immediately after that missed opportunity, Shongwe scored a hat-trick, and Boksburg led 3-0. Boksburg got another chance when David Kitume unleashed a long-range shot that hit the crossbar before the half-time whistle.

When the second half resumed, Kitume sealed the deal by scoring a goal for the home side, which led 4-0.
After that, several goals flooded into the visiting side’s goalposts, and Boksburg scored 15 times.
