Logan claims national e-buggy junior prize

He finished third overall.

Rynfield youngster Logan Erwee is the RCX National Championship electric-buggy junior champion.

The 13-year-old finished the season on 387 points to win the junior category, finishing third overall.

The Laerskool Rynfield learner finished second in the last race of the RCX national championship e-buggy final on November 20 at Zwartkops RCX Raceway in Centurion.

‘Boer’, as he is known on the rugby field, also obtained a 10th-place finish in the Pro Nitro A Main Buggy final at Zwartkops. He finished fourth overall.

“Well done champ,” said Logan’s dad, Martin.

“Thank you to my tyre sponsor and Brandon van Staden for putting up a world-class racing series,” he added.

The series took place over eight rounds in three provinces.

The RCX National Championship was held over eight rounds in three provinces.

The e-buggy class was won by Richard Duckham. He is also the nitro buggy national champion.

Brandon van Staden is the e-truggy champion, while Chad Barratt won the nitro truggy trophy. Deon van der Westhuizen is the overall short course truck class winner and Seth Alves claimed the junior course truck championship.
