Local bodybuilder makes his comeback

The bodybuilder said it's an on honour to be on stage again.

Quinton de Villiers from Beyers Park has made a remarkable return to the competitive stage of bodybuilding after an eight-year break.

Having competed in the Men’s Physique division from 2012 to 2016, De Villiers, a CEO of the Bridge Water Group, stepped away from the spotlight due to work commitments.

Now, at the age of 51, he has proven that age is just a number with a stellar performance at the recent UIBFF Gym Angel Pro Qualifier in Klerksdorp.

Months of rigorous preparation culminated in a third place finish in his category, marking a significant achievement in his comeback journey.

This event also secured him a spot at the UIFBB African Cup, set to take place in Bedfordview in October.

Furthermore, he has a chance to qualify for the world qualifier event in India, which will place him on the international platform.

“It has been an incredible journey preparing for this competition. The support from my family, friends, and local community has been overwhelming, and it’s truly an honour to represent them on stage once again,” said De Villiers.
