Help football players with transport

The club is appealing for assistance with transport donations.

Windmill Park Stars Football Club remains dedicated to guiding young individuals away from the streets, drugs and negative influences.

The club was established in 2021 in Windmill Park by Simphiwe Mbina and Mwandile Nkosi.

“Our goal is to see our players reach professional levels and secure scholarships for further studies,” said Mbina.

Mbina, who has a CAF B license in football coaching, said they train and look after 45 children across three divisions – U13, U15, and U17.

Furthermore, Mbina said the club is proud of its achievements last year.

“We are thrilled that our U15 team won the Rolfa Juniors League 2023, a highly competitive season. This achievement is not just for our community but also represents Boksburg,” Mbina added.

Transport challenges
According to Mbina, transport is a significant challenge for the club, especially during weekend matches.

“We are participating in the Rolfa League again, which starts in February, and the games take place at the Leondale Sports Grounds. Affordability to get to the games is tough for our players coming from various backgrounds.”

Mbina appealed to community members for assistance with transport donations.
