‘9mm’ fire not strong enough to defeat ‘Bonecracker’

The fighter said he will work hard to come back stronger next year.

Van Dyk Park’s Robert ‘9mm’ Swanepoel had a tough day at the office as he lost his last fight of the year at EFC104 which took place at the EFC Performance Institute on December 7.

Given ‘Bonecracker’ Majuba defeated Swanepoel via TKO due to strikes 27 seconds into the first round of the welterweight bout.

Even though the 40-year-old lost the fight, he is determined to get back up again.

“He caught me with a head kick. I will be back in the gym in the new year and will work hard. I will come back stronger,” said Swanepoel, whose record is now 2-9-0-1.

Swanepoel won his first EFC fight on May 7 last year after defeating Masefi Ngoma in the EFC 94 welterweight bout at the Performance Institute.

Swanepoel was also victorious in the recent EFC (Extreme Fighting Championship) 107 fight at the Performance Institute.

Swanepoel won against Angelo ‘AfroBoy’ Foloti via TKO at 1:33 into the second round of the lightweight fight.

EFC will be back for EFC111 on March 27.
