RCFC crashed the hopes of Absalom Tete

Absalom Tete FC is determined to do better in its next matches.

Absalom Tete FC Vets (ATFC) lost 3-2 to Robertsham Callies FC (RCFC) in an action-packed Eastern League match at the home ground of RCFC on November 15.

The home team kicked off the match and directly exalted pressure on the visiting side in the first five minutes of the match. That led to the first goal of the match through Sechaba Serote (9).

After the goal, ATFC turned the tables and dominated the ball possession. The visiting side immediately got an opportunity to equalise while in attack mode, but their striker Makondelele Mudau failed to beat the shot-stopper of the homeside.

RCFC absorbed the pressure from the visiting side and depended on counterattacks, but also missed several opportunities to extend their lead.

A midfielder of ATFC tried a long-range shot when the opportunity presented itself but the goalkeeper of the home side saved it.

As the match progressed, both teams had a tough battle in the middle of the field. ATFC produced good interchange passes but their striker Mudau (13) failed to equalise for the visiting side again.

The score was 1-1. RCFC immediately put pressure on ATFC. The midfielder of the home side unleashed a long-range shot that was managed by the goalkeeper of the visiting side.

The pressure of the team that led in the first minutes of the match paid off as Stephen Jardim(10) put them back in the lead by beating the goalkeeper of the visiting side. RCFC led the match 2-1 going into half-time.

As the match resumed in the second half, ATFC mounted pressure on the home side, Masemola tried to grab his brace when he unleashed a cracker, which only went wide.

A foul tackle in the penalty box from an RCFC defender on the striker of ATFC led to a penalty for the visiting side.
Khaya Phungwayo the midfielder of ATFC stepped up for the penalty and converted and equalised for the visiting side.

Masemola who looked hungrier for goals released another long-range shot, but only managed to hit the crossbar.

Tumi Magadlela of the home side retaliated and managed to grab a winning goal for the home team.

The match ended with RCFC winning 3-2 against ATFC.
