Jarvis wins first international tournament

Casey is currently leading the Road to Mallorca leader board.

At the end of April, Freeway Park resident Casey Jarvis (19) made his last putt at the final leg of the Sunshine Tour at Serengeti Golf and Wildlife Estate, securing the number two spot behind Jaco Ahlers.

The Rookie of the Year recipient had no time to celebrate his accomplishments since turning pro, as he jetted off to Europe to tee off in the Challenge Tour.

Making his first appearance on the international pro circuit, the State Mines Country Club member has thus far completed 14 tournaments, claiming three-second places and winning his first international pro-tournament at the Euram Bank Open, in Austria, on July 16.

As he sunk his final putt, Jarvis could be seen beaming with delight while the crowd roared with cheer to celebrate the momentous occasion in the rookie’s career.

From July 20, Jarvis will be walking the greens at the Big Green Egg German Challenge, Neuburg an der Donau, where he hopes to replicate the previous weekend’s success.

Jarvis is ranked number one on the Road to Mallorca leaderboard, with a 1331.2 points on the Challenge Tour rankings.

He is followed by his French counterpart, Ugo Coussaud who’s trailing with 981.1
