St Dom’s majorettes crowned champions

The school is proud of the learners' achievements.

St Dominic’s Catholic School for Girls excelled at the SAMCA (South African Majorette and Cheerleading Association) National Championships held in Durban recently, with the junior team crowned champions and senior team coming in second place.

St Dominic’s Junior (primary school) and Senior (high school) teams were both 2022 national champions.

Overall, the team came first in South Africa.

There are 35 primary school girls (Grade Two to Seven) in the team and they are trained by Alisha Venter, Zoe Pretorius, Natalie Brink and Angelique Boshoff.

There are 55 girls in the team (Grade Eight to 12), and are trained by Matthew Higgs.

The school congratulates Durban Girls High, who won the South African Championships.
