The sixth dan sensei of Boksburg New World Shotokan Dojo, Takis Chaniotakos, said he was confident that his karatekas were going to do well in the competition because they were positively motivated before the event.

“Win or lose, they were still going to regard themselves as winners. I’m very pleased to see how my competitors performed,” said Chaniotakos.

“I wouldn’t wish for any better results, my karatekas showed character and eagerness to triumph. I want to instil confidence and discipline in my karatekas and continue to help them to seek perfection in their character.”

He added that they are starting a new chapter with their recent affiliation with WUKF.

“We are determined to improve and I think we are already spreading our wings in our new adventure.”
