Peterson needs more help to go to Portugal

Things are looking up for him.

Reiger Park soccer player Kurstly Peterson, who recently appealed through the Boksburg Advertiser for sponsors to help him play in the Iber Cup in Portugal, raised about R22 000 at a fundraising initiative on May 26.

He held the fundraiser in Reiger Park with his parents, where they sold roti and curry. Thereafter they thanked everyone who supported the event and gave him hope.

“I’m grateful at this point because it wouldn’t be possible to raise the amount of money I have raised without the help of the people.

“I want people to know that I will make the best out of the opportunity I have gotten. I was chosen to go to the tournament because my coaches believe I have the potential to be one of the greatest players one day,” explained Peterson.

He added that he will be having more fundraising initiatives to raise the rest of the money, which will enable him to go to Portugal.

“I will have other fundraising initiatives on June 23 and 30,” said Peterson.
