Boksburg swimming coach takes top award

The coach for the Boksburg Aquatic Saints, Wade Marshall, was named coach of the year.

Wade Marshall was named the coach of the year by Eastern Gauteng Aquatics on May 27.

The organisation awarded Marshall for his contribution, hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence in coaching.

“Our community is proud to have such a talented head coach, and we wish him the very best in all future endeavours. “Congratulations to Wade on this remarkable achievement,” said the Boksburg Aquatic Saints (BAS) chairperson, Matthew Bosch.

Marshall began his journey in 2008, coaching the BAS. He coaches swimmers of all ages, from beginners to competitive swimmers.

He is also the head of aquatics at St Dominic’s and manages the aquatics programme at the school.

“Swimming is my passion. Apart from challenges, I always look for the next idea to help the swimmers reach their goals, both in and out of the pool,” Marshall said.

“I am thankful to have received this award. My coaching is very fulfilling.”
