Lethal striker can’t stop scoring goals

Pule Matuka is one of the key players for Boksburg FC's unbeaten run.

Boksburg FC U12 goal-scoring machine Pule ‘Billiat’ Matuka (11) admits that football has helped him prolong his focus on doing better for the club.

The Ramaphosa-based striker is currently sitting on 31 goals in 14 matches and has assisted his team remain top of the table in the Easterns League Football Association (ELFA) U12 league two.
Matuka, who started playing football for Barcelona FC in Ramaphosa said his father inspired his love for football.

“My father, Victor, had his own soccer team in Ramaphosa and that is where my development originated from.
“I have developed more as a player and I’m still looking forward to encountering different challenges as I grow up,” said Matuka.

Known by ‘Billiat’ to his teammates, Matuka had an impressive season last season when he was the top goal scorer and player of the season.
The youngster who attends Reiger Park Primary School mentioned that Boksburg FC has an amazing football style that matches his style of play.

“Joining Boksburg FC was a great experience for me because everyone works hard to achieve their full potential.
“Our coach is very vocal and the work we put in training is visible in every match.”

Boksburg FC U12 team have not lost a match since the beginning of the current season.
Matuka said his parents, Victor and Ancient, have been supportive and believes the Boksburg community would be proud to see him on big screens one day.
