Boksburg FC U15 beat archrivals

Boksburg FC U15 maintained the Premier League top spot after beating Sunward Park 6-3 in the Easterns Local Football Association, at Sunward Park on July 3.

With Sunward Park having two games in hand and sitting in position four, Boksburg FC is looking forward to winning their games if they want to win the league.
The last time both teams locked horns, the match ended in a draw and both teams scored five goals against each other.

Boksburg FC opened the scoring through Jabez Varrie but after the team failed to clear the ball, Sunward Park found an equaliser.
The game was packed in the middle of the park as both teams had strong midfielders who managed to link well with the defenders and strikers.

With only 15 minutes to go to halftime, the Blues took the lead again but unfortunately, with just a few minutes before the referee blew the first-half whistle, Sunward Park scored to make it 2-2.

The technical team of Boksburg FC decided to bring fresh legs in the second half, introducing Wesley Smith and Damian Marius.

Both ‘super subs’ made a magnificent contribution in helping the team score winning goals as Marias scored a stunning goal from the right-wing position in the early second half.

Dribbling wizard, Growayne Lion had one of his best games but he had to be taken off in the 67th minute after suffering from a hamstring injury.
Wesley Smith made a great run into the box and when he was about to unleash a shot, the Sunward Park defender fouled him and the referee pointed to the penalty spot.

Finisher, Taylor Vrolik stepped up to put the final nail in the coffin to make the score 6-3.
Taylor Vrolik, Jabez Varrie, Damian Marias and Cade Classen found the back of the net for Boksburg FC to secure the victory.

The U15s will play against Sporting FC at PG Park on July 10.
