Boksburg beat Birch Acres 3-2

The team will play an away game against Bedfordview at Bedfordview Country Club on June 4.

Boksburg FC U12 team kept to their winning ways over the weekend, beating Birch Acres 3-2 at PG Park Stadium.

The ‘punishers’ are currently the Easterns Local Football Association L2 log leaders with 22 points, having played eight games.
Top goalscorer Pule Matuka added one to his overall tally of 14 goals for the season, supplemented by goalkeeper Abriam Finnies with a coolly slotted penalty and Jody Varrie ensuring the three points with a bullet header at the death.

Coach Sheldon Louw was pleased with the results and said the boys should win all matches if they want to win the league.
“The boys are all turning 11 this year and we could not be prouder of what they are achieving. The plan is to play in the premier division next season using this season a prep and picking up experience against the bigger boys,” said the coach.

The team will play an away game against Bedfordview at Bedfordview Country Club on June 4.
