CCC Brakpan Rugby Club defeated East Rand United Rugby Club (ERU) 23-3 in a Valke Peregrine League match at Bosman Stadium on April 9.
The half-time score was 13-3 in favour of the home team.
According to ERU chairperson Marius de Vos, the men from Reiger Park made many mistakes.
“It’s arguably the worst game ERU have played this year. They created a few try-scoring opportunities but were unable to finish them off.
“Brakpan utilised their opportunities better on the day. They scored two tries, converted both and kicked over another three penalties,” said de Vos.
He said the stand-out players for ERU on the day were the two props, Lionel Koopman and David Sathekge.
Furthermore, ERU’s second team lost 20-3.
