Senzo Meyiwa was gunned down in 2014 in Vosloorus

The Senzo Meyiwa trial has been moved to the Palm Ridge High Court and will commence on October 25.

The five suspects accused of killing the former Orlando Pirates shot-stopper and Bafana Bafana captain, Muzikawulahlelwa Sibiya, Bongani Ntanzi, Mthobisi Mncube, Mthokosizi Maphisa and Sifisokuhle Ntuli, again appeared in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court on March 5, where it was also stated pre-trial hearings will take place on July 19.

The suspects were arrested on October 26, exactly six years after Meyiwa was shot dead in Vosloorus while visiting Kelly Khumalo, who was his girlfriend at the time.

He was 30 at the time of his death.
The accused face charges of murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances, attempted murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
