Oosthuizen matter to be heard next week
State, Oosthuizen set for a conclusion on boxer's matter
The matter of former multiple International Boxing Organisation (IBO) champion Thomas ‘Tommy Gun’ Oosthuizen has been postponed to November 24.
This was heard at the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court on November 16 as the troubled boxer made an umpteenth appearance.
Oosthuizen is facing four charges of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, a further four charges of crimen injuria (unlawfully, intentionally and seriously impairing the dignity of another) and a charge of resisting arrest.
Oosthuizen’s problems stretch also to Vosloorus, where he made another court appearance on November 17 at the Vosloorus Magistrate’s Court facing a separate assault charge.
Oosthuizen, who’s held the IBO super-middleweight title from 2011 to 2014, has a professional fighting record of 28-3-2; 16.
