Be one of the 55 lucky entries to Cape Epic race

55 entries to the 2021 Cape Epic race will be available on the Cape Epic website from 3pm.

With a strict first priority package offered to riders who registered for this year’s Absa Cape Epic, only 55 entries will be available to the public on May 19 (Tuesday).

The 55 entries to the 2021 Cape Epic race will be available on the Cape Epic website from 3pm. First come, first serve.

To improve your chance of gaining entry to the race, cyclists are tipped to visit the website and create an online profile before the release of entries.

Should you be one of the extremely 55 lucky riders, once your entry is secured, a full team payment needs to be done within the first two days for the entry to be made final. Successful entrants will be further rewarded with a 25 per cent discount if the entry is paid for and confirmed before June 15.

Similar to the Comrades Marathon in its importance on the South African sporting calendar, the Cape Epic has always seen its entries sold out almost instantly, but it cannot be the case for the 2021 edition with this year’s entrants given priority.

The Covid-19 pandemic has also not helped towards the thousands of cyclists who hope to be part of the 2021 edition with the field trimmed to a total of 499 teams. For riders who are unable to secure an entry, a waiting list which will offer athletes a chance to secure their entry into the 2022 Cape Epic will be available.

Entries can be done at https://www.cape-epic.com/riders/new-riders/how-to-enter
