ELFA suspends all football action

Details surrounding the return to the field of play is unclear at this point with life’s natural process literally pending on the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Eastern Local Football Association, the governing body for a number of football clubs across the East Rand, including the Boksburg Football Club, has too followed the new status quo and has suspended all football action due to Covid-19 until further notice.

‘Due to the coronavirus, the association has made a decision to suspend all football until further notice. This includes the veterans and the ladies cup finals, which would have taken place recently respectively,’ read a letter from the governing body.

‘We also request or suggest that clubs suspend all training.

‘We are requesting clubs to not visit the office, the ladies will not be processing any registrations at this time. We trust that clubs view this matter as very serious.’

Details surrounding the return to the field of play is unclear at this point with life’s natural process literally pending on the Covid-19 pandemic.

Also, steps that the ELFA and other sporting governing bodies will take due to the time lost on the pandemic are also unclear at the moment.
