Club cricket set for September restart

Details on the number and which teams will be competing in the latest edition of the Premier League are yet to be released.

The 2019/20 Eastern Cricket Premier League season is set to kick-off in the latter half of September.

CBC Old Boys will get their pre-season training underway on July 28 while players from town rivals Boksburg Cricket Club play in winter leagues as part of their preparation for the upcoming campaign.

Old Boys captain Casey Arnold will continue with his duties of leading his side, likewise with Boksburg captain Adam Forbes, who will once again skipper the Prince George Park XI.

In regards to player rosters for the respective Boksburg sides, according to the Old Boys camp, it’s unlikely that there will be any additions to the team, which missed the play-offs by a hair.

At PG Park, according to Forbes, discussions are underway.
