The postponed Atlasville Parkrun will now be going ahead on Saturday, August 18, following a successful meeting between Ward 23 councillor André du Plessis and Parkrun South Africa CEO Bruce Fordyce.
“The meeting was very positive,” said du Plessis.
“Parkrun SA agreed to address all the concerns of the community as well as on the environment. Many positive future aspects of upgrading the park further were also discussed.
“I’m happy because the run will only serve to benefit the community and I encourage the community to take part.”
Du Plessis will be in attendance.
