Pressure mounting at Boksburg Football Club

Celtic took the spoils within a 3-2 final scoreline in Linmeyer on April 7.

Linhill Celtic piled on the pressure on coach Ernest Seforo and his Boksburg Football Club outfit with yet another defeat dished out.

The loss kept the Blues winless in the current campaign after they had thought they had salvaged a point before conceding in the 87th minute.

It was a painful defeat to swallow for the Blues who had to deal with defender Tebogo Molebatsi scoring an own goal while attempting to clear the ball away from danger.

“Things are not in our favour,” lamented Seforo.

“We’re still searching for that first win. The team was promising a lot in getting our first three points or even a single point was going to be worth it.”

The Blues’ struggles upfront saw Seforo summon u-17 forward Rudean Peters for senior duties and the forward paid back the loyalty with one of his side’s goals.

Peters’ forward partner Wesley Vollmer also got on the scoresheet for the stuttering local side.

Meanwhile, Mphethe Moletsane and Peters netted the consolation goals for the Blues’ reserves in a 6-2 drubbing in the senior Super League encounter curtain-raiser against Celtics’ reserves. – @SabeloBoksburg
