Grizzlies fall short in Draft Cup final
The week-long national tournament is scheduled to run between March 30 to April 3 for juniors and April 4 to 7 for seniors.
A mixed Gauteng team pipped the Grizzlies 12-10 in the Draft Cup final at the Boksburg City Stadium on March 25.
Both teams were formed via a draft system with the Grizzlies including a number of players from the Boksburg Cardinals’ senior side.
The draft tournament was created to keep players active going into the national tournament currently running in Durban.
The national tournament will also mark the conclusion of the baseball season before it returns for the winter league which is scheduled to run from May to August.
