Boksburg gymnastics club to represent SA at World Age Group Competition

The World Championships and World Age Group Competition showcases the highest level of acrobatic gymnastics, with only the very best taking part.

The South African Gymnastics Federation has selected the gymnasts who will represent South Africa at the Acrobatic Gymnastics World Age Group Competition, in Antwerp, Belgium.

The South African team was named following the conclusion of the South African Gymnastics Championships and the Acrobatic gymnastics WAGC (World Age Group Competition) team trials held in October 2017.

The trials were the selection event for the 2018 World Age Group Competition.

Filipa Maskowicz-Kynas, Caitlin Weber, Shauné Morgan, Phillip Kleynhans, Zandri Botha, David Horswill and Amy Keefer of Wild Flames Concordia were all selected to represent South Africa at the prestigious competition!

The 10th FIG Acrobatic Gymnastics World Age Group Competitions will run between April 4 and 10.

The competition venue will be the Lotto Arena.

Teams in three different age categories will compete, including 11 to 16, 12 to18 and 13 to19 years old.

Wild Flames Concordia head coach Chris Botha will accompany the athletes to Belgium as national team coach and Zelda Botha will represent South Africa as team manager.
