Derocious Makhobalo wins Burger and Company Road Race
The 5 and 15km Burger and Company Road Race, otherwise known as the Burger and Co. Race, recently took place at the Boksburg City Stadium.
The race was won by 29-year-old Derocious Makhobalo in a time of 48:37 with Donald Mashamaite (49:02) and Givemore Mudzinganyama (49:30) completing the podium.
Vicky Hansen, from the Wanderers Athletic Club, was crowned the queen of the race in the women’s division as she crossed the line in a little over the hour mark in 1:00:40.
She was followed by Franza Landman from KPMG (1:01:14) and Nomsa Cossa from Ulinda (1:03:54).
