The Rock Raceway to rock with Rockmania Showdown

All the favourite racing and drifting drivers will hotfoot around the 400m circuit in various disciplines and take on the drift gauntlet set before them this Saturday, December 10, as The Rock pulls out all the stops.

Drift fans will be in for a special treat this year as they will be given the opportunity of a lifetime to ride ‘shotgun’ with a drifter on the track in a suicide ride showdown.

The Rock has vowed that the occasion is going to be a “sideways affair filled with lots of tyre smoke and adrenaline to match guaranteed”.

Plenty of V8 action from the Outlaw V8 sprints cars will ensure all the high-power thrills.

A host of oval saloon classes will also be racing, including the 1600 stock rods, 1660 modified saloons, super saloons and legends racing, to name a few.

High-speed action from the formula N circuit cars will keep you riveted to your seat as the saloon car drivers jostle for position around the tricky race circuit. With plenty of chicanes and tight corners passing each other, fans can expect hair-raising moments throughout the afternoon.

A sound-off competition will also be on offer, so if you think you have what it takes to have the highest-decibel readings, then bring your daily drive to enter.

Fans are advised to wear gear indicating their favourite vehicle manufacturer.

Gates open at 10am, racing starts at 3 pm and sufficient food and refreshments will be on sale at the circuit.
