Bruce Fordyce join’s local Parkrun’s first anniversary celebrations

The first man across the finish line was Theunis Holl in a time of 16:46, followed by Chandre Booysen (17:02) and Jeremy Hartzenberg (17:16).

The first woman to finish was Chante Dixon in a time of 20:18, followed by Corlize Stoltz (20:21) and Caitlin Bester (20:34).

Nine-time Comrades winner and Parkrun country manager Bruce Fordyce was part of the celebrations.

He welcomed and thanked all the volunteers and runners for their continued support and dedication.

The day saw 1 056 runners participate, setting a new attendance record.

The 5km Parkrun/Walk is hosted every Saturday at the Boksburg City Stadium from 8am sharp, and is free for all.
