Oval drivers, drifters, Formula N circuit drivers, Legends and drag racers will take to the circuit to give the spectators a taste of what’s to come in the new racing season.
The 400M oval circuit will host all the favourite entertainers.
“If you thrive on adrenaline then this will be one event you do not want to miss, Rotary fans and V8 fans are in for a treat,”said Abie Sada, Rock Raceway marketing manager.
“The V8 Outlaw Sprints will smoke tyres to the finish line in a high speed chase for the podium spot. Rotary fans will see the Super Midgets do battle trackside as well.”
Other favourite competing categories will include Kids In Racing SA Ninja Class ages six -12 years old, 100cc Micro Midgets, 125 Shifter Karts, Formula 2 Midgets,1600 Stock Rods, 1660 Modified Saloons, Super Midgets, V8 Lexus Class, 2.1 L Pinto Class, Super Saloons and Formula N Circuit Racing.
“Drifters will also be smoking tyres to oblivion in a sideways battle, so let’s see who smokes the most tyres, Drifters or Sprints.
“The popular Inex world championship series Legends Racing, that originated in the States will once again be in action as local drivers take to the circuit in their old 60s and 70s Ford and Chevy replicas, powered by a Yamaha motorbike engine.
“The Legends were the very first NASCARs to be raced in the USA,” said Sada
“If you are a street to strip drag racer and love straight line racing then there is more yes drag racing too.”
