Local charity collects R50 000 in Charity Mile

The Boksburg Advertiser was once again one of the media partners for one of Gauteng’s most popular horse racing events of the year, the Peermont Emperors Palace Charity Mile.

The mile, held at the Turffontein Racecourse on Saturday, October 31, brought 16 well-known celebrities together with 16 top-class race horses for the benefit of 16 deserving organisations.

The Advertiser partnered with comedian Trevor Gumbi who represented the Justin Snaith-trained race horse, Dynamic, for the benefit of the Nageng Primary After Care Centre in Vosloorus.

Despite Dynamic finishing down the field Nageng still collected R50 000.
