With Benoni having opened the scoring in the match, CBC rallied back through Jarred Teixeira before Kyle Cameron gave them the lead for the first time from a penalty corner, take the score to 2-1.
The close margins between the two sides were reflected when the home side equalised matters courtesy of striker Michael Veliotes from a deflection to make it 2-all. But it was the visitors who had the last laugh and with that, the bragging rights as well as Reece van der Poel netted the decisive goal to give CBC a 3-2 win.
The encounter was the third between the two foes with CBC winning the first match-up with a 6-2 rout before Northerns won the reverse fixture 2-1. – @SabeloBoksburg
