Sport Planet – Boks out to salvage some pride

A damp and freezing Buenos Aires greeted the Springboks on Thursday afternoon, August 13, as Heyneke Meyers men prepared for a second Test against Argentina tomorrow (Saturday).

Following the shocking and embarrassing 37-25 loss to the Pumas in Durban last week, the wounded Boks side will be looking to generate some momentum going into the World Cup in England with a convincing win in the Argentine capital.

Kick-off is scheduled for 9.40pm SA time.

Following a dramatic comeback win against Maritzburg United in an eight-goal feast in the quarter-final stages, Kaizer Chiefs continue their title defence in a tricky tie against Bloemfontein Celtic at the Free State Stadium.

A win or a draw for the AmaKhosi will put Steve Komphela’s men in the driving seat going back to the FNB Stadium for the second leg. A win for Siwelele will sure make the second leg on August 29 that much more interesting.
