Atlasville Tennis Club to hold an open day

The Atlasville Tennis Club will hold an open day on Saturday, August 1.

Proceedings will get underway from 9am to 10.30am.

On the day, the club will introduce its play and stay lessons for beginners and showcase its junior club for intermediate players.

Play and stay is an introduction to the game of tennis for beginners and children aged between five and 12.

It’s played on smaller courts with slower balls and is a fun and easy way to begin playing tennis.

By using smaller courts and slower balls, players are able to serve, rally and score from the first lesson. It is also a good stepping stone to the next level.

Private training advantages for adults includes health and exercise benefits and having a good workout; social experience (meeting new people); learning and improving something new; and being able to participate at a time that suits your lifestyle (flexible times for lessons).

The club is situated at 5 Finch Street, Boksburg.
