United led 23-18 at the half-time break before going on to win the absorbing encounter 45-33.
It was United’s second win in as many weeks against Benoni, after they were victorious in the reverse fixture between the two sides, winning with 29-15 in Reiger Park.
The match’s pattern also followed that of the reverse fixture, with the sides’ producing a close contest in the first-half, as only five points separated them when they went into the half-time recess.
And, as happened in Reiger Park on July 11, Derick Sampson’s men pulled away from Benoni in the second-half, scoring 22 additional points to Benoni’s 15.
Both sides picked up a bonus point for scoring four tries (United five, Benoni four).
With the win, United have all but secured their place in the play-offs, which are scheduled to kick-off on August 15.
