Extreme action returns to The Rock

Action returns to the The Rock Raceway, for the Rockmania extreme event, on Saturday, July 11.

The circuit will come alive with high octane power as all the renowned drivers race around the 400m circuit in various disciplines.

Drifters from all over will also be present to slide their high octane-powered chariots around the track. Drift fans are encouraged to design and bring along their supporting banners, to show their support.

It promises to be a sideways affair, filled with plenty of tyre smoke and adrenaline to match.

Also, V8 action from outlaw sprint cars and Lexus V8s will satisfy the all the high power urges. A host of oval saloon classes will also be racing, including the 1600 stock rods, 1660 modified saloons, pinto classes and super saloons.

Open wheelers will include the ninja kids in racing SA (ages 3-12), micro midgets, 125 karts and formula 2 midgets.

High speed action from the Formula N circuit cars will keep fans riveted to their seats as the saloon car drivers jostle for positions around the tricky circuit.

Legends racing will also take to the circuit, as the old-style late ’50s-shaped vehicles powered, by 1 300cc Yamaha motorbike engine, roar around the track.

Gates open at 10am and racing is scheduled for a 3pm start.

Maxed Out Street 2 Strip drag races will begin at 4pm – gates will open at 2pm.
