Blues takes seven-goal thriller

Boksburg FC emerged victorious in a seven-goal thriller against Bonaero Park, last Saturday, July 13.

The two teams came up against each other at the Boksburg Stadium, for the second time in four days.

They had drawn 2-2 in the first encounter, but Boksburg triumphed 4-3 in the second game.

Boksburg started the game well when they scored early; the spectators had hardly sat down when they went 1-0 up.

Bonaero bounced back in spectacular fashion.

A spectacular long range effort beat The Blues’ keeper in amazing style.

Boksburg’s keeper Tefo Tladi, who was the Man of the Match, pulled off a number of brilliant saves in one attack by the visitors, but it was not enough to stop them from scoring.

The hosts levelled the score before halftime and they went into the break deadlocked at 2-2.

Bonaero scored again in the second half, to go one goal up.

Once again, Boksburg showed character and fought back, scoring a goal to level matters.

Then, just before the final whistle, The Blues scored the winner.
