I was driving through Parkrand a week ago and was amazed at how nice the area looked.
The roads and sidewalks were neat and tidy. It looked amazing.
Then you drive through Beyers Park, from Atlasville to Trichardts Road, from North Rand Road to Paul Smith and you think: what happened here?
Who is in charge of this area of Boksburg? Dilapidated is the word. The roads and sidewalks have not been attended to for months.
The poor park in Beyers Park is such an eyesore, I don’t know how the new development in Davidson Road, next to the park, is actually selling units.
The new circle at Westwood Villa and the street are so unkempt it looks years old.
In North Rand Road, the weeds (more like little trees) are growing in the sand next to the curbs in the street.
All the owners of these homes and businesses are paying rates and taxes so that this can be looked after.
I wonder if all the residents and owners will just decide one day to no longer pay rates until such time something is happening in our beautiful Beyers Park.
The homes in this area are selling for a few hundred thousand less, because of the state of this area.
My home in Roets Road was sold for much less than it is worth.
Who can assist the residents of Beyers Park?
