Tell us what’s on your mind: Human Rights Day

March 21 marks Human Rights Day. What human right in the Bill of Rights do you value most and why?

Trevor Macray: Have we really had human rights since South Africa became a democracy?

Sibongile Nkosi: Our human rights are there but crushed by the law. I value equality the most but wish the law changed its way of doing things.

Emmanuel Mahlangu: I value the freedom to life. Life gives you more opportunities. Education without life is nothing, so live and love every chance you get.

Maria Teresa Ribeiro: The right to equality. Live with respect for others from when you are young to your old age. Respect yourself as well.

Johannes Nienaber: I value equality the most because I love chatting to everyone and I believe everybody should be treated the same.
