Boksburg’s roads in shabby condition, metro turns a blind eye

An anonymous, concerned resident of Boksburg writes:

As a concerned resident, I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the poor upkeep of the public roads in Boksburg.

After having to replace all four tyres of my car because the city’s roads that are littered with potholes, I feel I have to express my feelings and share with you my personal experience.

Please have a look at the whole of Kingfisher Avenue, from Sunward Park right down to Elspark. The road from Kingfisher that turns into Bert Lacey Drive and Aquarius Road, towards Sunward Park Hospital, is a total disgrace.
Ambulances and paramedics use this road on a daily basis and have to dodge the huge potholes, especially in Aquarius Road. They have to worry about the patients in the ambulance, whilst at the same time dodge the huge potholes.

The municipality is turning a blind eye to the state of the roads in these two suburbs. The ‘don’t care’ attitude is enough to make one feel ill and angry.

I recently travelled to Krugersdorp, and from Gordon Road right into Krugersdorp, I only encountered two potholes, so small that you could drive over it without fear of ruining your tyres and your wheels.
What a pleasure it was to drive on these roads, even along Factoria which is an industrial area, where big trucks use these roads on a daily basis.
