With 2020 being such a challenging year, what has been your silver lining?

Boksburgers grateful despite challenging 2020

With 2020 being such a challenging year, the Advertiser asked our readers as to what has been their silver lining.

Clint Cornish: The worst was I was retrenched, the best is I got another job and my new company has been taking good care of me.
Rodrick Mbembe: The best thing that happened for me this year is that the lockdown didn’t really affect me because at Food Lover’s we did not lose our jobs unlike many other people. So to me, it really was the best thing.
Michael Beyleveld: I’m still in school so I would say it’s the long vacation I had when the coronavirus hit the country. I went hunting and I really enjoyed it.
Jakubo Moyo: I got comfort by getting a job this year. I didn’t know where to go or what to do if I was still jobless, but I got a job with God’s grace. It’s been a year of survival of the fittest, but I thank God that I’ll be able to take care of my children.
Michelle Tellis: I would definitely say my pregnancy. It came as a surprise, but it’s definitely a blessing.
