St Dom’s drummies shine

The school wished the learners the best of luck for the rest of the season.

The St Dominic’s drum majorettes again flew their school’s flag.

The school’s junior (Saintees) and senior (Saints) squads won the primary and high school sections of the Knight of Champions competition, held recently at St Dominic’s, in the small and large drill categories.

This is the first Gauteng Majorette and Cheerleading Association competition at which the majorette teams perform their large drill displays.

The competition is dedicated to former adjudicator Norman Knight.

St Dominc’s Catholic School for Girls held the Knight of the Champions competition.

The South African Majorette and Cheerleading Association national competition will be in September in Cape Town.

Various Gauteng venues and schools will host more upcoming local league competitions.

St Dominic’s will host the season’s final competition on June 1.

All qualifying teams will then travel to Cape Town to face teams from the other provinces and battle for the title of SA champions.
