Atlas Judokwan shines at EGA Interclub event

Under the leadership of sensei Vincent Maree, the young competitors secured nine gold medals, one silver, and one bronze.

Atlas Judokwan Club showcased an impressive performance at the Ekurhuleni Judo Association (EJA) interclub competition in Germiston on October 5, with junior athletes achieving top honours in various categories.

Under the leadership of sensei Vincent Maree, the young competitors secured nine gold medals, one silver, and one bronze.

Vincent expressed his pride in their accomplishments, stating, “Our juniors performed exceptionally well. I could not be prouder of their achievements.

“This success is a testament to the hard work of the players and the dedicated coaching from Candice Maree and Monique Grobblelaar. Their commitment has paid off.”

The standout athletes included Harvey Washer, Ishan Arnold, Aryan Grobblelaar, Micah Arthur, Harvey Mac Innes, Matthew Minnie, Ashwaria Arthur, Chloe Carstens, Luke van der West, and Riley Washer.

Additionally, Vincent announced the club’s relocation to the Impala Park Community Hall.

“We now have ample growth space, enhanced security, and plenty of parking, which will benefit our members as we continue to expand.”
