As there is still s high demand for blood, The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) encourages the public to support mobile blood drives.
Community members can roll up their sleeves at the following blood drives:
October 1
Kingfisher Square, from 11:00 to 16:00
October 3
Tuckers Attorneys, from 10:00 to 15:00
October 5
Bokkie Park Market, from 09:00 to 14:00
Boksburg North CPF, from 09:00 to 14:00
October 12
Pick ‘n Pay Ravenswood, from 11:00 to 16:00
Garrison Driving Range, from 10:00 to 16:00

Hoërskool Dr EG Jansen, from 13:00 to 16:00
October 21
Kingfisher Square, from 11:00 to 16:00
October 29
Witfield Square, from 11:00 to 16:00
Residents may also donate blood at the SANBS donor centre at the East Rand Mall from 10:00 to 18:00 on weekdays and from 09:00 to 15:00 on weekends and public holidays.
Donors must meet the minimum criteria for donating blood, which are as follows:
• Weigh at least 50kg.
• Be between the ages of 16 and 65.
• Be in good health.
• Lead a sexually safe lifestyle.
• Consider your blood safe for transfusion.
• You may only donate every 56 days.
