Note that the Boksburg Christian Brother College’s Parent College Partnership (PCP)’s inaugural Cheers Big Night Out fundraiser will take place on September 28, and not September 27 as reported in this week’s Boksburg Advertiser (dated September 27).

The event will start at 16:30 and feature top entertainment from award-winning singer-songwriter Christiaan Baartman and comedian King Nqoba Ngcobo, known for Backstage.
Ngcoba will also get the crowd going as he hosts several rounds of bingo with prizes to the value of R35 000 up for grabs, including a two-night stay at Sun City Cabanas and a Mega Master 4-burner gas braai.
PCP chairperson Taso Spanos said Boksburg CBC will be turning 90 years old next year and the PCP plans to use most of the funds raised from this event to beautify and prepare the school for this special occasion.
This includes working with the school to establish a museum and archives celebrating the school’s history.

Aside from great entertainment, guests can enjoy food and refreshments, including delicious deli and baked goods, gins, beers and a variety of craft items from over 40 vendors.
Spanos said the Cheers Big Night Out event will provide a vibrant atmosphere for adults to unwind in without venturing far from home.
Sports fans are assured that the Springbok versus Argentina match will be screened live during the event.
Buy tickets at Quicket or the gate. Each ticket includes a free bingo card and parking within the school grounds.
Additional bingo cards will be available for R25 each or R100 for five. This event is strictly for those over 18s.
