St Francis grateful for wool items

The Boksburg Advertiser thanks those who supported the publication's Winter Wool Project.

The St Francis Care Centre is the latest organisation to benefit from the Boksburg Advertiser’s Winter Wool Drive.

This donation came after ladies from the Sunward Park Gemeenskapskerk recently gave the drive, which ran from May to August, a boost with a wonderful donation that included knitted teddy bears and beanies.

One of the church members, Chérie van de Venter, previously explained that members from the church, the bible study group, the SAVF Kowa Pienaar Tehuis knitting group and Phyl Gillesen from Benoni contributed to the items donated.

Tilly Brouwer, manager of the St Francis Care Centre, expressed her gratitude towards everybody who made the donation possible.

Project co-ordinator Elize Kluyts (advertising manager, Boksburg Advertiser), said this has been the most successful drive yet.

Other than the St Francis Care Centre, Urban Ruins and CANSA were blessed with items that were donated to our project.
